Volunteer marshals can have as much fun and challenge as those who drive and there is very little cost; as transport costs to events can often be shared. Marshalling is open to all, though sometimes for reasons of safety certain jobs and areas may be restricted by age or ability.

Marshals are very important and valued volunteers who enjoy motorsport and who are willing to help organise and manage motorsport events.

There are many areas where marshalling assistance is required both on and off the sporting circuit and there is a formal training scheme for those wishing to become more experienced.

Would you like to learn organisational skills?

Dave Hensley is happy to share his organisational skills in the running of the Autotest. This is one of the easier events on which to learn the variety of jobs done to put on an event. Whether you are currently involved in motor sport, a complete novice or not yet a member it can be great fun so do contact him on 0161 962 0836.

If you'd like to know more about organising a Speed Event, then Martin  and Sarah Nield have the info and would welcome a hand at the same time. Running a Sprint can be bags of fun and you get to meet lots of people. By just trying it out you need not commit yourself unless you want to. Ring 0161 980 8509
