The Lancashire & Cheshire Car Club was formed in 1933 by the joining together of several groups of enthusiasts some of whom raced motor bikes at Belle Vue Speedway track.

During these years before WW2 the Club organised several classic events for ordinary cars such as the Derbyshire Trial and The Lakeland Rally.

After the war in which many of the younger members had died the Lancs & Ches amalgamated with the Enthusiasts Car Club which had a large number of Trophies and fewer members whereas Lancs & Ches still had members.

The Club was one of the first to organise race meetings at Oulton Park and often as many as three a year until 1979 when the smaller clubs were pushed out.

Over the years the club has continued its success in organising various different types of events and producing many British Champions.
